The Audio Technica AT33xEN MC Phono Cartridge represents the next evolution in the renowned AT33 Series, bringing new depth, warmth, and fullness to your favorite records. This latest redesign marks the first major update in years and introduces material and structural advancements that enhance expressiveness in the mid to low frequencies. The base of the cartridge features die-cast zinc, which suppresses unwanted resonance and contributes to a smoother and more natural sound. Designed for music enthusiasts who crave precision and emotional connection, the AT33xEN reproduces the finest nuances across the frequency spectrum, capturing every subtle detail while maintaining the natural character of analog recordings. Precision Engineering for Natural Sound The AT33xEN is an outstanding all-purpose cartridge that delivers full-bodied, balanced sound suited to a wide variety of music genres. It features a 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical nude stylus mounted on a rigid duralumin tapered pipe cantilever, ensuring accurate groove tracking and refined control in the high frequencies. The newly developed suspension system utilizes piano wire for exceptional stability and tracking precision, slightly lowering the dynamic compliance to produce a more substantial and defined tone in the midrange and low end. The result is a cartridge capable of revealing the energy and warmth of rock, jazz, and classical recordings while maintaining a pleasing, natural balance across the entire spectrum. Advanced Dual Moving Coil Design At the core of the AT33xEN lies Audio Technica’s celebrated dual moving coil configuration, featuring independent left and right coils crafted from PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) for pure, accurate signal transmission. The design provides outstanding stereo separation and imaging, ensuring each channel maintains integrity and clarity. A neodymium magnet combined with a permendur yoke delivers high energy efficiency and responsive playback. The cartridge’s rigid duralumin pipe cantilever is precisely matched with its elliptical stylus for improved responsiveness and tracking consistency. Every component has been carefully engineered to achieve the highest fidelity possible, allowing listeners to enjoy a sound that is both dynamic and faithful to the original recording. Crafted for Clarity and Stability The body of the Audio Technica AT33xEN MC Phono Cartridge is constructed from a combination of die-cast zinc, aluminum, and high-rigidity polymer. These materials are arranged to minimize internal vibrations and disperse resonance evenly across the structure, ensuring that no frequency dominates during playback. Threaded mounting holes make installation simple and secure, whether used with an integrated or separate tonearm headshell. Each cartridge is hand-finished by skilled artisans in Japan, reflecting Audio Technica’s long tradition of meticulous craftsmanship. The inclusion of thick gold-plated terminal pins minimizes contact resistance, enhancing overall signal purity and ensuring stable connection throughout your audio chain for consistent, high-quality performance. A Legacy of Innovation and Musical Passion Since its founding, Audio Technica has remained dedicated to preserving the emotional power of music through precision engineering and artistic craftsmanship. The AT33xEN continues this legacy, merging advanced moving coil technology with the warmth of analog sound reproduction. With a wide frequency response from 20 to 40,000 Hz and channel separation of 27 dB, this cartridge captures music with lifelike realism. Designed for serious vinyl enthusiasts, it offers an exceptional balance of refinement and strength, making it suitable for a wide range of tonearms and systems. Each AT33xEN is crafted in Japan and embodies decades of audio innovation, ensuring your records sound exactly as the artist intended.
