The FF6.5 takes the Slot-Port design a significant step further by fusing the Slot-Port with an advanced reflex apparatus. This new technology merges a quarter-wavelength transmission line with a variable cross-section folded-horn. This novel synthesis of technologies yields an acoustic reflex device with unsurpassed efficiency. The advanced design features coupled with rational manufacturing are keys to the FF lines unbeatable price and performance combination. All this boils down to the fact that the creation of the new FF subwoofers was no accident, rather the result of meticulous engineering building on a heritage of excellence. The FF6.5 not only utilises an advanced built-in 150-Watt Class “A/B” high efficiency power amplifier, but also has a transmission line design to work in tandem with the amplifier to produce deep, satisfying low levels of undisdorted low, long and linear bass. With auto signal sensing, 0-180°phase shift and 40-180Hz crossover, the FF6.5 is your ‘go to’ sub when both budget and space are limited. But don’t let its price nor size fool you, this small sub can produce over 100dB peak SPL (includes room gain) from 40Hz to 135Hz. The high quality 6.5″ driver ‘coupled’ with the clever design really beggars belief, resulting in a massive boost to low frequency output, empowering the FF6.5 to rival ordinary designs with woofers up to 10 inch. With modest dimensions of a 253mm, W: 194mm, D: 361mm (HxWxD) it also offers exceptional performance for the smallest of real estate. The FF-6.5 from Earthquake really does epitomise what good quality subwoofers designed by professionals should be, even at the budget level = Power, Performance and Affordability.
