Fezz Audio Supernova Magnetar Preamplifier Pinnacle The Fezz Audio Supernova Magnetar Preamplifier is the pinnacle of the Fezz lineup, offering an uncompromising listening experience for the discerning audiophile. Precision-engineered from milled aluminium, this vacuum tube linear preamplifier delivers exceptional signal purity and mechanical damping. Excellence The Magnetar Preamplifier serves as the flagship of the Fezz range, crafted with a precision-milled aluminium chassis. This robust structure was specifically chosen for its superior mechanical and electromagnetic properties. By using a high-mass, rigid frame, the design effectively suppresses resonant frequencies. Consequently, this minimizes microphonic artifacts that could otherwise interfere with sensitive audio circuits. Furthermore, the aluminium casing provides excellent EMI shielding to isolate internal components from external noise. This results in a significantly lower noise floor and preserved signal integrity. Engineering Efficient thermal management is a core feature of this preamplifier’s design. Because aluminium has high thermal conductivity, the device maintains optimal operating temperatures for long-term stability. These mechanical and thermal advantages directly support higher resolution and improved dynamic range. Additionally, the power supply utilizes a rectifier tube to enhance the transient response and overall “feel” of the music. The carefully designed circuitry ensures that every nuance of your favourite tracks shines through with transparency. Components Quality remains paramount, as Fezz utilizes only the finest components throughout the build. The internal paths on the PCB boards are gold-plated for maximum conductivity. You will find premium Mundorf MCap Evo Oil and M-Lytic capacitors alongside pure Teflon tube sockets. Connection points feature world-class WBT RCA sockets and Neutrik XLR sockets. Moreover, the power supply features a Toroidy.pl audio-grade Signature Line transformer by T. Lachowski. This combination ensures a noiseless, high-fidelity connection for your entire system. Synergy When partnered with the Magnetar mono power amplifiers, this preamplifier becomes the control centre of a truly reference valve system. Its fully balanced topology and low-noise design provide a pure, stable signal to the KT150 output stages. As a result, the power amplifiers respond with greater authority, speed and composure. Dynamics scale effortlessly, while microdetail and spatial cues remain intact. Moreover, the shared engineering philosophy ensures consistent voicing throughout the chain. Together, they deliver a seamless presentation that combines scale, precision and unmistakable valve musicality.
