Hi-Fi Floorstanding Speaker – Signature Alpha The flagship of the Signature range, this 1.3-meter-high floorstanding loudspeaker displays the synthesis of TRIANGLE acoustic and technological know-how. As with every Signature product, the Alpha has been designed and hand-crafted in France at the company’s Soissons workshop. Benefiting from Magellan R&D, the Signature speaker features extremely high-density cabinets for an unmatched acoustic experience. All mechanical aspects have been studied to improve the overall performance. The Alpha loudspeaker integrates a semi pod-mounted horn loaded tweeter, one paper midrange with small pleated suspensions and three woofers specifically designed for this model. It has all Signature technologies including a twin vent ensuring a complete woofer insulation for better sound transparency. The Signature Alpha is a powerful speaker with deep and fast bass, it is mostly recommended for large room sizes (above 30m2). Craftsmanship Luxury French Manufacturing The range conception and design are 100% implemented in France at TRIANGLE’s workshop in Soissons. Thanks to the experience gained from the Magellan range, TRIANGLE is currently offering a form of luxury craftsmanship with SIGNATURE, born from the passion and the work of its teams. Each item is made and assembled with uncompromised precision to strive for manufacturing perfection and irreproachable sound. LUXURY WOODWORK The Signature cabinets are made from 7 high-density fiberboards for an overall thickness of 21mm. This high-density cabinet helps to considerably reduce the speaker’s vibratory behavior. In view of embellishing this woodwork and of achieving a special luster, either seven or ten coats of paint are added during production in order to reach the “piano lacquer” finish. The cabinets are carefully polished to remove any flaws before adding a new layer of paint. SIGNATURE TECHNOLOGIES Over the years, TRIANGLE has developed and patented innovations, improving upon the mechanics and vibrations of loud speakers. Every driver has been entirely redesigned. A new 185mm aluminum basket with better ventilation, new version of treated paper cones to increase clarity and top quality components to benefit from greater transparency and a more refined tonal balance. Other unique technology such as the twin vent and the SPEC system play their part in making TRIANGLE’s speakers unique. Recommended room size The Signature Alpha is recommended for listening rooms with an area greater than 30 m2. Find a model in the Signature range that suits your listening room: • from 15 to 30m2: Theta • from 15 to 50m2: Delta Amplifier and Power Handling Recommended Amplifier power : from 60 to 500 Watts (8 Ohms) Power Handling : 140W * The power handling of a speaker is the average continuous power that the speaker can accept without damaging the drivers. You can use an amplifier more powerful than the permissible speaker power by limiting the volume to 70% of the maximum capacity. Conversely, an amplifier that is too underpowered will clip and create distortion, which can also damage the speakers if it is used beyond its capacity. Speaker Specifications • Type : Floorstanding speakers with front bass reflex port • Crossover : 3 Ways • Sensitivity (dB/W/m) : 92 dB • Bandwith (+/-3dB Hz) : 32Hz-22 000Hz • Nominal impedance : 8Ω • Minimum impedance : 3,3Ω * The impedance of a speaker can be simplified as an electrical resistance. The lower is the impedance of the speaker, the more current the amplifier will have to deliver. – Nominal impedance is measured at a frequency of 1kHz – Minimum impedance is measured at low frequencies. TRIANGLE loudspeakers never fall below 3 Ohms, which means they can be used with almost all Hi-Fi and Home Cinema amplifiers.
