The AT-LP7X fully manual belt-drive turntable blends analog excellence with style and versatility. Featuring a dense MDF plinth and acrylic platter to minimise unwanted resonance and vibration, this elegant, matte-black turntable delivers sound that’s just as clean and refined as its appearance. In designing the LP7X, we paid special attention to chassis geometry, ensuring that the platter, spindle, and tonearm were optimally positioned for accurate, distortion-free tracking. The J-shaped aluminium tonearm, inspired by classic A-T models of the 1960s and ’70s, features a dual-axis gimbal with precision ball bearings to further enhance tracking performance. The turntable comes with our AT-LT10 headshell and AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge with 0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus, providing excellent channel separation and low distortion for outstanding tonal quality. For easy customisation, the stylus can be replaced or interchanged with other styli in the VM95 line, offering a wide choice of options for every budget and application. The AT-LP7X is ideal for those interested in experimenting with alternate cartridges. The tonearm’s VTA (vertical tracking angle) adjustment and 16 g subcounterweight allow you to use a broad range of other cartridges and headshells with a combined weight of up to 23.5 g. (A 32 g subcounterweight, available separately, enables the use of even heavier cartridge/headshell combinations.) With its built-in switchable phono pre-amplifier, the AT-LP7X also gives you the option of using MC (moving coil) cartridges. The turntable’s 20 mm acrylic platter is driven by an optical sensor-monitored motor that ensures a continuously accurate platter rotation speed of 33-1/3 or 45 RPM. The motor is mounted on vibration-dampening rubber bushings designed to decouple the motor from the plinth, minimising the transmission of mechanical noise and oscillations. An external switching power supply isolates the AC-to-DC conversion to prevent it from adding any electrical interference, and the turntable’s spring-based, height-adjustable isolation feet offer excellent protection against external noise. The AT-LP7X comes with a detachable RCA output cable (dual RCA male to dual RCA male with ground), 45 RPM adapter, and removable dust cover. Combined, the turntable’s AT-VM95 cartridge, VTA (vertical tracking angle) adjustment, and 16 g subcounterweight expand your configuration options. Upgrade to a more refined VM95 stylus or experiment with different cartridge/headshell combinations (up to 23.5 g total). Add the optional 32 g subcounterweight (available separately) and work with combinations up to 28.5 g. The stainless-steel spindle features a thermal-plastic, sheet-type bearing at its base, ensuring low-friction rotation that’s precisely maintained at 33-1/3 or 45 RPM by the turntable’s speed-sensor system. The high-density acrylic platter dampens vibrations for supremely quiet playback, allowing the brilliance and detail of your vinyl records to shine through. The chassis and tonearm geometry of the AT-LP7X have been designed to ensure optimal lateral tracking for distortion-free playback. Fully manual, belt-drive operation with two speeds: 33-1/3 and 45 RPM Heavy 40 mm MDF (medium density fiberboard) cabinet construction reduces resonance and vibration for clearer sound Motor features a speed-sensor system to maintain accurate platter rotation speed 20 mm-thick, high-density acrylic platter offers high rotational inertia to spin records at a consistent speed (no platter mat required) J-shaped tonearm with adjustable VTA (vertical tracking angle) AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge (0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus) pre-mounted to the lightweight AT-LT10 removable headshell AT-VM95 cartridge is compatible with most VM95 Series replacement styli, offering a wide choice of options for every budget and application Included 16 g subcounterweight provides an expanded cartridge/headshell weight range of 14.0–23.5 g A larger 32 g subcounterweight is available separately to enable the use of cartridge/headshell combinations up to 28.5 g Adjustable anti-skate control to counter the inward force the styli experiences during playback Built-in switchable phono pre-amplifier with selectable modes for MM (moving magnet) or MC (moving coil) cartridges Includes dual RCA (male) to dual RCA (male) stereo cable with ground, 45 RPM adapter, and removable dust cover Turntable Motor DC servo motor Drive Method Belt drive Speeds 33-1/3 RPM, 45 RPM Turntable Platter 20 mm (0.79″) thick acrylic platter Wow and Flutter < 0.1% (WTD) at 3 kHz (JIS)
