Modelled after our flagship ATH-ADX5000 open-back headphones, the ATH-ADX3000 is designed to bring the natural Open-Air sound to a wider audience. These headphones feature 58 mm integrated driver units, which position the diaphragm, voice coil, baffle and magnet in a single unit, resulting in improved airflow and full-range audio reproduction. This creates an optimum structure, reducing unnecessary sound distortion. The result is full-range audio with natural bass, pure mid and high frequencies, and a precise, realistic soundstage. These featherlight (257 g) audiophile headphones are hand-assembled at our facility in Machida, Tokyo, from components built in-house, and are rigorously tested before leaving the factory. They are outfitted with replaceable velour earpads to ensure lasting comfort and come with a detachable 3.0 m (9.8′) cable with A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors at the headphones and a 6.3 mm (1/4″) gold-plated stereo plug for connecting to devices. The Audio Technica Difference “Our engineers worked hard to achieve frequencies that are not easy to obtain with natural airflow. Our expertise in driver technology has influenced our approach to open-back headphones, enabling us to ensure the diaphragm moves with the purest motion. For example, with the ATH-ADX5000 we developed innovative technology that integrates the driver into the baffle, resulting in an optimal structure to improve airflow and full-range audio reproduction. This same technology is also employed in the ATH-ADX3000 headphones.” Japanese Craftsmanship As a leading innovator in transducer technology for over 60 years, Audio-Technica places special emphasis on driver design to achieve the optimal sound from each pair of headphones. The ATH-ADX3000’s integrated driver units are handmade in our Machida, Tokyo, facility to ensure the highest quality. Sound Design Since 2015, Audio-Technica has used the specially designed A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connector on all of our in-ear headphones and select over-ear headphones with detachable cables. But why did we develop this connector and what makes it perform better than existing connectors in audio applications? Open Back Sound The ATH-ADX3000 open-back design allows unrestricted airflow that prevents any distortion or artificial enhancement to the sound. This results in a purity of sound with truly authentic sound staging and imaging. High Quality Audio for Everyone Following the vision of our founder, Hideo Matsushita – “high-quality audio for everyone” – we retooled our flagship ADX model to create the ATH-ADX3000, making the natural, Open-Air sound more accessible to all. Features Fully open-back design allows unrestricted airflow to produce natural bass with no artificial resonance while maintaining pure mid and high frequencies 58 mm integrated driver unit design combines diaphragm, voice coil, baffle and magnet in single unit to reduce unwanted vibration Proprietary Core Mount Technology places driver unit in optimal position for improved airflow and reduces unnecessary distortion Driver units utilize a pure iron circuit with efficient magnetic characteristics, resulting in precise sound reproduction Tungsten-coated diaphragm provides high rigidity for an improved transient response Japanese craftsmanship: Each pair of headphones is meticulously assembled from components built in-house, then rigorously tested before leaving our Tokyo factory Magnesium alloy frame results in rigid, thin, lightweight construction Honeycomb-punched housing design blocks side ventilation to prevent undesirable air pressure loss Velour earpads provide amazing comfort and durability Detachable 3.0 m (9.8′) cable with A2DC (Audio Designed Detachable Coaxial) connectors at the headphones and 6.3 mm (1/4″) gold-plated stereo plug Each pair of headphones comes with a specially designed hard carrying case Specs Headphones Type Open air dynamic Driver Diameter 58 mm Frequency Response 5 to 45,000 Hz Maximum Input Power 700 mW Sensitivity 98 dB/mW
