NEXUS v2 Designed to the same extreme precision engineering standards as our turntables, every tonearm is painstakingly hand assembled with the trademark craftsmanship that you would expect from AVID. Supporting your cartridge rigidly whilst playing a record is vitally important and the reason we have harnessed our bespoke hyper strong titanium arm tube and simply pushed rigidity to another level. “Nexus, this arm is outstanding. ” – Andrew Simpson Key Features Hyper Rigid Titanium Arm Micron Tight Tolerances Adjustable Dual Bias Painstakingly Hand Built Superlative Our rigid bearing architecture is paramount to delivering solid images etched in space, so each of its components are manufactured to unbelievably tight tolerances. Nexus will astonish you with its ability to uncover previously camouflaged musical nuances with crisp clean clarity, outstanding solidity and precise superlative sound. “NEXUS further ups the game” – Christiaan Punter DUAL BIAS Bias, also known as anti-skate, is a mechanism designed to counteract the natural inward force pulling the tonearm toward the centre of the record. If uncorrected, this force can lead to uneven tracking and distorted sound. Our research has revealed that the required bias force varies across the record’s surface. Higher levels are needed at the beginning and end of the record, with reduced force required in the middle. Additionally, the optimal bias setting depends on the stylus profile of the cartridge in use. To address these variations, our V2 models incorporate a groundbreaking bias compensation system. This innovation allows for independent adjustment of the bias force at the beginning, middle, and end of the record, ensuring precise tracking and superior audio performance across the entire playing surface. “the most capable arms at their price points.” -Chris Beeching Specifications Effective Length: 233 mm Mounting Distance: 216 mm Offset Angle: 23 o Overhang: 17 mm Effective Mass: Medium / 18 g Weight: 880g Arm Cable: Detachable 5 Pin DIN connector, RCA termination, 1.3M Length Optional XLR termination, fully balanced
