Entreq Cleanus The Cleanus is an entirely passive mains filter featuring Entreq’s Infinity technology. More accurately described as a high-frequency separator, it draws contamination away from your mains supply before it reaches your audio components — without imposing any dynamic constraints on your system. Cleanus includes all necessary cables for connecting to your system. Product Description There is a moment in every system’s development where the obvious upgrades have been made. Better source, better amplification, better speakers. But something still sits between you and the music. A slight restlessness, a background that never quite falls silent. For many listeners, that moment is when the mains supply enters the conversation. It is easy to overlook. We invest in the components that handle the signal but rarely question the quality of the power feeding them. Yet every audio component in your system draws from the same domestic supply that’s shared with every other device in your home. An Introduction to Cleanus The Cleanus is the entry point to Entreq’s passive mains filtering range. It connects to a spare mains socket via an Entreq power cable and quietly goes to work, drawing high-frequency interference away from the supply and absorbing it into Entreq’s proprietary mineral mix with Infinity treatment. Your components receive a cleaner supply. The noise floor drops. The music breathes a little more freely. For systems in areas with a relatively clean mains supply, the standard Cleanus may be all that is needed. It offers a genuine and often surprising improvement. It’s an effective way to hear exactly what mains contamination has been taking away from your listening experience. For those in noisier environments, the Cleanus Tungsten and Olympus Cleanus offer progressively greater capacity to handle more severe interference. Nothing Taken Away One of the most common concerns with mains filtering is the trade-off. Many active conditioners reduce noise at the expense of dynamics, compressing the life out of a system in the process. The Cleanus works differently. As a purely passive device, it does not restrict the energy flowing to your components. It simply gives high-frequency interference somewhere else to go. The result is not a quieter, duller presentation. It’s the same music, with less in the way. A Starting Point With Room to Grow The Cleanus features a copper binding post, allowing it to be connected to an Entreq ground box via an Eartha ground cable for even greater performance. This grounds the Cleanus itself, providing the absorbed interference with an additional path to dissipate. It is a simple addition that extends the effectiveness of both the Cleanus and the ground box it is paired with. For listeners new to Entreq, the Cleanus offers a clear and affordable demonstration of what passive mains treatment can achieve. For those already grounding their systems, it addresses a different layer of noise entirely — one that even the best ground box cannot reach on its own. As with all Entreq products, we recommend consulting with your local distributor to get the best advice for your system.
