Fezz Audio Supernova Magnetar Mono Amplifier – Pair Overview The Fezz Audio Supernova Magnetar Mono Amplifier – Pair stands as the pinnacle of the brand’s engineering ambition. From the outset, it has been designed without compromise. As a result, it delivers commanding valve power with remarkable control and refinement. This mono power amplifier combines authority with finesse, making it ideal for reference-level systems. Construction Magnetar features a precision-milled aluminium enclosure for exceptional rigidity. Consequently, the non-resonant structure reduces mechanical vibration and electromagnetic interference. This creates a quieter electrical environment for the audio circuitry. In turn, you hear greater clarity, lower noise, and improved dynamic expression. Circuitry An advanced microcontroller-based circuit provides automatic bias regulation for the power tubes. Therefore, each KT150 operates at a stable and optimised point. The fully differential analogue design further enhances dimensionality and separation. Together, these technologies produce a soundstage of impressive scale and focus. Power Four KT150 output valves work alongside carefully engineered driver and phase inverter stages. Precise current sources maintain accuracy under demanding loads. As a result, Magnetar delivers an astonishing 200 watts of nominal output power. Even so, it retains the tonal richness and fluidity expected from premium valve amplification. Components Only the finest components feature throughout the signal path. Mundorf MCap Evo Oil and M-Lytic capacitors ensure purity and stability. Meanwhile, WBT speaker terminals and Neutrik XLR sockets provide secure, high-grade connectivity. Gold-plated PCB traces and pure Teflon tube sockets further enhance reliability and signal integrity. Transformers Signature Line supreme power and output transformers from Toroidy.pl anchor the design. These audio-grade transformers deliver exceptional bandwidth and control. Consequently, bass remains tight and extended, while treble stays open and composed. The result is a balanced presentation with both authority and subtlety. Performance With a bandwidth of 16 Hz to 80 kHz, Magnetar captures the full scale of any recording. Total harmonic distortion remains below 0.5%, preserving transparency. Furthermore, a damping factor above 30 ensures confident loudspeaker control. Whether paired with 4 or 8 ohm speakers, it drives with ease and composure. Synergy Partnered with the Magnetar Preamplifier, these mono power amplifiers reveal their full potential. Together, they form a fully balanced valve system with exceptional coherence and drive. The preamplifier’s low-noise architecture and refined gain structure feed the power stages with absolute precision. As a result, dynamics expand effortlessly while tonal textures remain natural and expressive. Moreover, the shared design philosophy ensures consistent voicing from input to output. This synergy creates a presentation that feels seamless, powerful and deeply immersive across every genre.
