The eno 2 Ethernet Filter is designed to remove high frequency noise present in the Ethernet signal that connects music and video streaming equipment. The all-new eno 2 Ethernet Filter improves upon the original eno filter in every way. It is universally compatible featuring a version of Network Acoustics’ proprietary 1Gb/s filtering technology as used in the reference muon Pro Ethernet filter, with a ‘Tuned Shield’ precision-milled aluminium enclosure, and comes with a 0.75M length of the new eno 2 Streaming Cable. Designed and hand-built in the UK, the eno 2 Ethernet Filter Network Acoustics started up when most serious audiophiles saw streaming as little more than just a tool for discovering new music. With the development of the original eno Ethernet Filter, they demonstrated that by removing network noise from the Ethernet signal and keeping it out of the digital playback chain, streaming could sound as natural and magical as high-end vinyl and CD sources. In the five years since the original eno’s launch, Network Acoustics has pursued a relentless program of research, development, and innovation, continuing their aim to improve noise reduction even further, resulting in enhanced sound quality that consistently exceeds customer’s expectations. Network Acoustics’ founders, Rich and Rob, aimed to create a top-performing, affordable Ethernet Filter with the original eno , making high-quality sound accessible to a broad audience. The new eno 2 Ethernet Filter and Streaming System stays true to these values, and improves on the originals in every way. Features Streaming sounds better at 1Gb/s: The eno 2 1Gb/s Ethernet Filter and Streaming Cables are meticulously designed to maximize the benefits of streaming over a 1Gb/s network connection. Comparing listening to a 100Mb/s connection versus a 1Gb/s connection, our critical listening tests repeatedly demonstrated that a 1Gb/s connection significantly enhances sound quality. Universally Compatible: The eno 2 Ethernet Filter and Streaming Cables are fully compatible with network devices operating at 100Mb/s, 1Gbs/s and 2.5Gb/s. Future Proof: New streaming equipment is increasingly being optimised for 1Gb/s connections. Many audio protocols and software applications such as HQ Player, Ravenna, and Diretta are optimized for 1Gb/s Ethernet connections. The eno 2 Ethernet Filter and Streaming Cables ensure universal compatibility now and in the future. Comprehensive 8-core filtering: The eno 2 Ethernet Filter cleans all 8 conductors found in a standard Ethernet cable, whereas 100Mb/s filters only clean 4, leaving the others untreated. Tuned shielded enclosure: Network Acoustics tested multiple grades and gauges of aluminium to find an enclosure that provides the perfect level of shielding without compromising the integrity of the output Ethernet signal. 1Gb/s eno 2 Streaming Cable: Recognizing the critical nature of the final connection to the streaming device, with every eno 2 filter Network Acoustics includes a 0.75M length of the the new eno 2 Streaming Cable for this purpose. Seamless ROON connectivity: eno 2 1Gb/s design enables seamless connectivity with ROON with zero lag, even when streaming hi-res DSD files. Engineered, handcrafted, and tested in the UK: eno 2 Ethernet Filters and Streaming Cables are made by hand in the UK and are individually tested and compared against the original development units. eno 2 Ethernet Filter Specifications Proprietary 1Gb/s 8-Core Filtering technology. ‘Tuned Shield’ precision-milled aluminium enclosure. 2.5Gb/s compatible Supplied as standard with 0.75 m eno 2 Streaming Cable.
