This premium turntable seamlessly blends timeless design with cutting-edge technology, delivering an unparalleled listening experience. Precision Engineering in Tonearm Design Featuring the high-end precision EVO 9 AS HG tonearm, The Classic Reference utilises an inverted cardanic Swiss ABEC 7 quality bearing with four stainless steel tips, all housed in a robust aluminium structure that ensures exceptional stability. The tonearm’s innovative design minimises resonances, enhancing the fidelity of your music. Optimised Platter Construction The turntable’s heavy aluminium platter integrates advanced thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) to optimise resonance behaviour. Unlike traditional cast platters that often produce ringing effects, The Classic Reference’s platter is precisely machined from a specialised aluminium alloy, further damped with TPE to eliminate unwanted sound colourations. Its bearing system mirrors that of the renowned Vienna Philharmonic Record player, ensuring superior performance. Advanced Isolation and Damping The sub-chassis effectively isolates the platter and tonearm from motor and plinth resonances. Supported by TPE damping balls, the floating aluminium chassis minimises vibrations, resulting in clearer highs, deeper bass, and a more balanced overall sound—creating a truly immersive listening experience. Flexible Output Options The Classic Reference features both classic RCA and balanced XLR output sockets. Balanced audio connections, typically found in professional settings such as recording studios, provide a stable, interference-free signal essential for high-fidelity sound. This capability significantly reduces noise and interference, ensuring pristine audio quality from turntable to phono preamplifier. Unmatched Speed Stability Powered by a DC-driven AC generator, the motor produces a clean sine wave for exceptional speed stability. The Classic Reference supports playback speeds of 33, 45, and 78 RPM, accommodating a diverse range of vinyl records. Elevate Your Listening Experience Immerse yourself in rich, vibrant sound with the Pro-Ject The Classic Reference turntable—where tradition meets innovation.
